The Road
A road I see,
ahead of me,
Where it
leads I know not,
I follow it
for lack of choice.
Where the
road will take me
I will go,
the end not in sight.
Over hills
and dales
I trudge on
Knowing not
what lies ahead.
From afar I
see the end is in sight,
Alas! it is not,
but a mirage.
Destined I
am to walk
the road
with no end!
