The Road

A road I see, ahead of me,

Where it leads I know not,

I follow it for lack of choice.

Where the road will take me

I will go, the end not in sight.

Over hills and dales

I trudge on

Knowing not what lies ahead.

From afar I see the end is in sight,

Alas!  it is  not,  but a mirage.

Destined I am to walk

the road with no end!

Taking Stock

Its 2 months and 10 days since – July 11, 2011, when I was rushed to the emergency room in a drunken stupor, and reaction to some stuff that I may have eaten. Spent a day and a half in intensive care and discharged the next day

Been off drinks ever since (people think I stopped because I got a adverse report on my liver!! LOL), picked up a bicycle (using it well too), eating properly, off snacking for the past 7-8 months, shaved 2 inches off my waist and am actually feeling good about myself after a long time. Work-wise is great too, facing a challenging task from an equally challenging counterpart, who has me on my toes. It’s after more than 2 years that any project has interested me so. I am not yet up to pat, if you ask me, the complacency still rears its ugly head, trying to fight it tooth and nail.

On the face of it, things seems to be good, yet something seems to be lacking. I guess I will try and return to one of the first loves I have had – which is writing. Not been a great writer, but writing has been one of my outlets.

And another thing I need to do, is set a new list with dates. A new bucket list.
Putting it into my outlook calendar to remind myself.

Right now, things are cool, peaceful, but that one central drive is lacking! Lets hope I comes back soon.

Till then it’s a search for it!

Starting All Over Again

Tried recovering my old blog with 350+ entries yesterday. Not possible they said. And to think that if you pay for something, the least that they can do is preserve the data. *SIGH*

So the Joker Blog is gone and the Joker has morphed into a bachelor – the Domesticated Bachelor. Or should I say that it's the Bachelor Joker!? Joker Bachelor sounds better, because JB also coincides with my old nick name JELLY BELLY! J So Here I am starting off new on this, and promising myself to get back to writing.

Lets see how long this resolve will last.

It's a pity that I have lost all the content on my earlier blog. There were some entries that I was particularly proud of – some for its quality and some others for the humor. One which comes to mind suddenly was a series of entries on Names of people titled whatzinaname. It was a series of 5 entries with strange names that I had come across in real life and my friends contributed a lot with their experiences.

2 names that weren't a part of it comes to mind now : The former CEO of General Motors was Rick Wagoner!!!! And Bernard Madoff (Pronounced Madeoff) made off with a lot of people's money!

Will stop here on that note. I think I may have sent the entries as a mail to some friends. Hope I can recover that one at least.
